Personal Controller Software (PCS)

PCS is a software application that is installed on each personal computer connected to the LAN and provides individual lighting control for each user. The application is accessed directly from the computer's desktop taskbar with a single click giving access to the main functions,namely adjusting light levels and recalling pre-set lighting scenes. There is no limit to the number of lighting scenes an individual can store in the software application.

PCS's control interface is customized to the individual's workspace to control light levels for a specific fixture or for independent control of several fixtures.

Central Control Software (CCS)

The Central Control Software (CCS) application provides automatic or override control of the building's lighting and energy usage and manual system configuration. CCS runs autonomously or can interface with other building systems and does not require the attention of a facility manager.

CCS constantly interfaces with an energy metering device to monitor system demand and consumption and automatically sheds load in accordance with configurable set points. It can initiate load shedding either to prevent the building from exceeding a pre-set demand limit or in response to energy price spikes during peak demand periods reported via the Internet.

Lighting and energy usage details are available in real time on actual building floor plans, and can be configured for remote operation via the Internet.

CCS provides dynamic set-up of all system parameters (i.e. user access codes, security features, time schedules, system override hierarchy, etc.) via an easy to use graphical user interface (GUI). It enables system reconfiguration by simply inputting updated floor plans without physical component or wiring changes due to office renovation or departmental rationalization.

Individual users may also access the CCS to control their lights by telephone system voice or touchtone interface. Users can control their lights in a similar fashion to the Personal Controller Software.

Encelium technical support staff can troubleshoot, assist with system reconfiguration or even commission initial set up remotely through the Internet if desired.
