JOB DESCRIPTION

Encelium is seeking an Applications/CAD Engineering Technologist with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience preferably in one of the following fields:

  • Energy management, energy services, or performance contracting
  • Building automation systems

The successful candidate will support the engineering and application of Encelium’s products and services through their ability to:

  • Read blueprints/drawings to identify and characterize lighting, electrical and control systems.
  • Create AutoCAD system construction drawings and specifications.
  • Engineer systems using application guidelines.
  • Perform site audits to identify Encelium system applications.
  • Assist sales in the development of preliminary and final system proposals and participate in meetings with customers.
  • Manage project schedules.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technology Certificate in mechanical/ electrical/ energy engineering with 2 to 4 years experience.
  • Above average proficiency with AutoCAD (2D) and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with personal computers and related word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and project management applications.

ASSETS

  • Experience with measurement and verification of energy savings.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of lighting controls and applications in commercial and industrial spaces.
  • Working knowledge of utility billing schedules, energy management technologies, metering and data management systems for energy monitoring.
  • Knowledge of utility and government energy rebate programs.
  • Lighting design / building energy simulation.
  • Customer service oriented
  • Technical sales support
  • Applications engineer experience to support sales
