Are you a star performer? An Electronics Engineer or Technologist, with experience commissioning complex systems and a track record of providing exceptional technical support? Undertake a major software upgrade to our installed customers, using remote access, on-site visits, and guiding customers by phone through self-installed upgrades and system setup. Beyond this key project, you will be charged with providing outstanding technical phone and field support to our blue-chip clientele. As a member of the Technical Services Team, you will work cross-functionally, with Operations, Applications, and Project Managers, to deliver top quality products and services to our customers. This position will be based in Encelium’s Richmond Hill, Ontario location.
Responsibilities
• Lead a major software upgrade to our installed base:
o Work with the business team to engage each customer. Upgrade apps & embedded software on-site, remotely, guiding customers through self-installs, and training dealers in the process.
• Perform value-added remote services to our Maintenance Agreement clients
o Remote system diagnostics, Energy analysis and reporting, Energy system tuning and optimization.
• Provide outstanding technical field and phone support:
o Troubleshoot customer issues, Lighting Control System alerts, and interfaces to Building Automation Systems.
• Commission our advanced Energy Control System
o Prepare lighting control system database using AutoCAD and proprietary software.
o Independently set up Encelium systems on customer sites.
o Provide leadership as Encelium’s technical and project management representative in commissioning customer projects, including documentation, reporting, managing project schedules, instructing installers and electrical contractors in the field, customer meetings, and post-project reviews.
• Support activity:
o Exhibiting your adaptability, get involved in support activities, such as: training, pre-sale meetings, create system design drawings, evaluate new products.
• Travel: This role may require periods of travel from 25~40% throughout Canada and U.S.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree (B.Eng, B.Sc, etc.) or Diploma (C.E.T.) in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical (HVAC, Industrial controls, fire/security, building automation), I.T., and/or demonstrated industry experience.
- Three to five years experience in a field technical support role.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and documentation, with preference given to construction electrical, lighting, controls, or building automation systems.
- Basic, demonstrated skills in hands-on electrical, electronics, or mechanical (building & troubleshooting small projects).
- Ability to operate basic handheld test equipment and troubleshoot.
- Proficient with personal computers: MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, networking and software.
- Fast, independent learner. Dependable. Able to work independently, from broad instructions, with minimal supervision, staying on target until completed and verified.
- Customer-centric, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well organized in managing projects. Adaptive and Flexible.
- Valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle (required for local travel).
- Able to work flex hours (EST~PST time zones).
- Position based in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Must be able to travel throughout Canada and U.S. (25~40% approx).
