Encelium is actively looking to fill an entry level position for a System Commissioning Engineer/Technologist preferably with experience in one or more of the following fields:
- Commissioning of commercial building systems
- Lighting controls or building automation systems
The role will be based at our Richmond Hill, Ontario office. The successful candidate will lead the field commissioning and service of Encelium’s products and services through their ability to:
- Prepare lighting control system database using AutoCAD and proprietary software.
- Travel up to 40% (est.) throughout Canada and US.
- Independently set up Encelium systems on customer sites.
- Lead post-installation support activities, including training and customer meetings.
- Take lead contact and project management role in commissioning phase of projects, including documentation and reporting functions.
- Create system construction drawings, submittals, procedures and training materials.
- Manage project schedules, installations and electrical contractors in the field.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B. Science or Certified Engineering Technologist in mechanical/electrical/energy engineering and/or demonstrated industry experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD (two-dimensional drawings).
- Proficient with personal computers and related word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and project management applications.
- Experience with computer networking.
- Able to read electrical contract documents/drawings to identify and characterize lighting, electrical and control systems.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Must have reliable automobile and valid driver’s license in province/state of employment.
- Customer service oriented
- Must be able to travel to the United States.
